About me

Although I've been programming computers on and (mostly) off since I was 14, I've only been making money from my computing skills since about 1995. I've recently decided to back this up with some qualifications and I'm part way through an IT degree with the Open University.

For kicks(!) I have studied a style of Kung Fu called Lau Gar, but I've not had time to go for a while. My main form of exercise at the moment is swimming and I manage to splash with the grannies most weekday lunchtimes.

I'm an observer for the motorcycle section of Bristol Advanced Motorists and Motorcyclists. That means that I follow people around and help them to develop the skills that they need to pass the IAM advanced test. They're a great bunch of people at BAMMO and we always have fun on our rideouts and weekends away. I plod along behind the group on my little Suzuki SV650S (that's me at Cadwell Park in the picture above).
